if you attempt to adjust the radio’s volume with the steering wheel controls in your ‘93 civic you’ll be slightly shocked by the odd honking noise it makes (at least I was)
A brief study in how Honda basest of base models have advances in 23 years. my ‘93 Civic VX, vs wife’s ‘16 CR-V

I’ve never owned a car with radio controls on the wheel before. Do any of them place volume - and + on opposite sides of the wheel?

I had a jeep grand cherokee that had controls on the front for volume, and then buttons on the back of the wheel for changing radio presets. I didnt know about the behind teh wheel ones until I accidentally found them about a year into owning the car! :D

This is one of the reasons I appreciate that Chrysler puts the volume controls on the back of the wheel.

LOL Between that and the whole shifter fiasco, it sounds like Jeep (or FCA) isn’t exactly a big fan of making things intuitive.

My Durango (and a lot of FCA vehicles) have them on the back, but its counter-intuitive. The volume KNOB is on the left of the radio, but on the RIGHT side of the steering wheel. The oppo is true for the tuner.

I loved those horn buttons on my 93 Civic. So handy!
